Hawk Visits in February 2019

The male hawk stands on the nest on February 3, 2019

Feb. 1

At 9:25 AM, there was a nest visit by one of the hawks and it was working on the nest. At 9:28 AM, both hawks were on the nest. At 9:31 AM, the male hawk left first and the female hawk left after.

Feb. 2

At 9:24 AM, both hawks were on the nest. They both left at 9:27 AM.

Feb. 3

At 7:22 AM, the male hawk was spotted sitting on the nest. At 7:44 AM, the female hawk arrives. At 7:47 AM, the male hawk leaves. At 7:49 AM, the female hawk leaves. At 9:30 AM, the male hawk arrives on the nest again. He rearranged several of the twigs on the nest and was standing for most of the time. At 10:38 AM, he flew off. A minute later, he came back to rearrange some sticks on the nest and to stand around again. He left at 10:42 AM.

Feb. 4

Sometime in the morning, there was a visit by both of the hawks where they were working on the nest. At 9:11 AM, the female hawk left.

Feb. 5

At 7:28 AM, the male hawk was spotted on the nest moving around some twigs, although the visit had started sometime before then. At 11:06 AM, both hawks were spotted on the nest. At 11:07 AM, the male hawk left. At 11:09 AM, the female hawk left.

Feb. 6

At 4:40 PM, the male hawk was seen on the nest. He left at 4:43 PM.

Feb. 7

There were several visits in the morning. At 11:23 AM, the male hawk had reportedly made its third visit of the day. He left at 11:24 AM.

Feb. 8

At 8:32 AM, both of the hawks were on the nest arranging twigs. The male hawk left at 8:34 AM, while the female hawk left at 8:39 AM. At 9:46 AM, the male hawk returned to work on the nest and rearrange some sticks and twigs. At 9:57 AM, he started looking out and got off the nest to stand on the ledge at one point. At 10:20 AM, he got back to working on the nest. He left at 10:37 AM.

Feb. 9

At 6:51 AM, the male hawk may have been in the nest rearranging twigs. At 3:39 PM, he was on the nest again and only stayed for about a minute.

Feb. 10

At 9:18 AM, there was a hawk in the nest, looking around and rearranging nest material. It left at 9:21 AM.

Feb. 11

At 6:45 AM, the female hawk was on the nest. Ay 7:34 AM, she flew off and then came back to work on the nest. The male hawk traded places with the feamle hawk at some point before 9:14 AM. He left at 10:29 AM.

Feb. 12

At 6:40 AM, a hawk was on the nest. It left at 6:43 AM. At 7:13 AM, both hawks were on. At 2:43 PM, the male hawk was on the nest. He left at 2:45 PM.

Feb. 13

At 9:57 AM, the female hawk may have been on the nest and left within a minute. At 1:59 PM, both hawks arrive on the nest. About a minute later, the male hawk leaves first while the female hawk leaves a couple seconds after he does.

On February 13, 2019, the female hawk is in the nest bowl while the male hawk stands beside her.

Feb. 18

At 6:58 AM, the female hawk was on the nest. She left at 7:26 AM.

Feb. 19

There were several brief visits by the two hawks throughout the day. For the 11:59 AM visit, both of them were on the nest. A couple minutes before 12:04 PM, the female hawk was on the nest.

Feb. 21

Sometime before 9:24 AM, the male hawk made a visit and left. The female hawk was here around that time also.

Feb. 22

The male hawk started his nest visit sometime before 8:51 AM and left at 8:53 AM.

Feb. 25

The male hawk had a short visit sometime before 9:21 AM. At around 10:10 AM, the female hawk was on the nest.

Feb. 27

At 2:37 PM, the female hawk switched places with the male hawk, who had arrived earlier.

Feb. 28

The male hawk made a visit around 8 AM. Both hawks made several visits in the morning. A chips bag that may have been placed on the nest the day before is now gone from the nest. At 12:36 PM, a hawk was on the nest, both standing and rearranging sticks. It left at 12:38 PM. At 12:44 PM, a hawk arrived at the nest to make a quick stick readjustment before leaving a minute later. At 1:42 PM, the female hawk was seen on the nest, looking out at the park. She left a few minutes later.
